Your guide to window blind child safety.

All our products are childsafe and meet the safety legislations introduced in February 2014.

If you buy a product with a cord an easy cleat will be fitted to ensure there are no loose strings or cords.

Cords must be a minimum of 1.5M above the ground.

THIS IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT EVEN IN HOMES WITHOUT CHILDREN!

Our Fitters will show you how to reconnect the child safety feature on your blinds before he leaves.

Great options for Child safe blinds that are safe by design are:

• Slowrise or Motorised Rollers

• Shutters

• Vertical Blinds with a Monowand

• Pleated blinds

The General Product Safety Regulations, 2005 place an obligation on all businesses to supply and professionally install safe products.

BS EN 13120:2009+A1:2014, “Internal blinds – Performance requirements including safety”, defines a safe product within these Regulations.

However, some blinds have cords and chains to operate them and these must be kept out of the reach of babies and young children
